This little web-site is intended to provide some helpful information about the wedding of Janet Pashley and Andrew Kerr, and the locations where we'll be holding the ceremony and the reception.
The menu across the top of the screen should help you to find what you need, but if you have any problems, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.
The wedding itself will take place at George Heriot's, in the Chapel at 3pm. See the directions page for help on finding your way.
The reception will feature a buffet - which we hope will cater to all needs (we are presently planning for omnivorous, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and wheat-free) - and afterwards a ceilidh. Both will take place at Teviot Row House, a couple of hundred yards from Heriot's. We intend to provide a minibus to help those who need assistance to get to Teviot, but most guests should be able to walk.
For those attending the reception only (or fleeing any thunderstorms that might blow in for the wedding itself!), the top floor at Teviot should be wholly ours, with the Loft Bar open from about 4 or 4:30pm. We'd expect to be there by 5pm ourselves, with the meal due to start around 5:30pm. Some guests aren't due to arrive until 6pm or later, but we hope that there'll still be some of the buffet left for them!
For those who would prefer not to climb several flights of stairs to get up to the top floor: there is a lift, and the steward on duty at the front desk will have a key to open it up for us.
We regret to say that Parking options will be limited: though Heriot's grounds will be open for the wedding and parking is available all around the Old Building, cars unfortunately cannot be left there through the reception since the gates will be locked once we move on to Teviot Row.
